Product Overview and Characteristics
Ethyl acetate is an important organic solvent and fine chemical raw material. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a fruity aroma, is highly volatile, slightly soluble in water, and miscible with most organic solvents. This product has a wide range of applications and is a fast-drying solvent for various resins such as nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, and chloroprene rubber. It is used as an excellent solvent in the coatings, inks, and adhesives industries, and is also widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, organic synthesis, and the extraction of natural fragrances. In addition, ethyl acetate is also a food flavoring permitted for use under GB 2760 and can be used to formulate fruit-type flavors such as cherry, peach, and apricot, as well as flavorings for alcoholic beverages.
Excellent organic solvent
It has good solubility for nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, acrylic resins, and various natural resins, and is widely used in the coatings, paints, inks, and adhesives industries.
Slow-drying diluent
Its evaporation rate is slower than that of ethyl acetate, making it suitable for coating processes such as nitrocellulose lacquers and polyurethane coatings that require longer leveling time. It can improve the gloss and flexibility of the paint film and prevent blushing and pinholes.
Edible flavor
It is regulated as a permitted food flavoring and is widely used to formulate fruit-type flavors such as banana, pear, pineapple, apricot, peach, and strawberry, with good aroma diffusion.
Industrial extraction and additives
It is used as an antibiotic extractant in pharmaceutical processes, as a processing solvent in artificial leather, textiles, and plastics processing, and can also be used for cleaning and degreasing precision instruments.
